Origins/History

OMEC was founded in 1993 in Zhuhai, China, which is now the location for the company’s global headquarters, manufacturing and commercial operations. Today, OMEC is an established leader in particle sizing instrumentation in the Chinese market, most especially in laser diffraction technology. Outside of China, a growing number of customers world-wide also trust OMEC to meet their particle sizing needs. In 2010, OMEC became part of the Malvern Panalytical family. Such close ties with this world leader in laser diffraction particle sizing have given us access to a wealth of additional particle characterization and engineering expertise. It is a relationship that has enabled further product development and strengthened OMEC as a global provider.
